About Dr. Amish Chaudhury
Dr. Amish Chaudhary has experience in the field of surgical oncology for 14 years, being part of the first units to start advanced laparoscopic and minimal access programmes in the field of oncology at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCIRC), New Delhi. At the Max Institute of Cancer Care, New Delhi he has performed more than 1500 surgical and Gynae-oncological procedures which includes advanced Robotic, Laparoscopic, Cytoreductive and HIPEC surgeries as his major areas of interest. He has more than 700 breast surgeries to his credit including about 300 SLNB and 300 oncoplastic breast surgery and over 150 colorectal surgeries. He is the lead surgeon to develop and establish the advanced Robotic and Laparoscopic Gynae-oncological and surgical oncology programme. His “Retroperitoneal Tent Technique” on laparoscopic paraaortic lymph node dissection is well applauded and accepted throughout India. He was also amongst the first to start the HIPEC programme in Delhi for surface malignancies like ovarian cancer and psuedomyxoma peritonei and has successfully performed over 50 HIPEC since 2015. During his stay at the RGCIRC, New Delhi he assisted and performed almost 450 breast cancer surgeries and oncoplasties and 250 oesophagectomies. They were also the pioneer of the Sentinel lymph node programme in breast cancer which has now become the standard of care in all centres of excellence. Dr. Chaudhary holds 7 publications and research materials. He is an accredited Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) as a Surgical Oncology Teacher since 2014 and became an Independent Guide in May 2018. He is a member of the Association of Surgeons Of India (ASI), Indian Association Of Surgical Oncology (IASO), Association of Gynae Oncologists of India (AGOI), Indian Society of Peritoneal Surface Malignancies (ISPSM), Robotic Console Certification by Intuitive Surgicals (Da Vinci XI), and Oncology Forum. He is also part of various Organising Committees in the medical congress and conferences since 2004. Dr. Chaudhary also has an acute sense of social responsibility and is part of many educational and vocational programmes for underprivileged women and children.
