Dr. Donald John Babu is a well-known Surgical Oncologist with experience of 12+ years. His area of specialization covers 'Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgeries’, ‘LASER’, and ‘Organ Preservation Surgeries’ for Cancer. He is adept in Surgical and Medical management of cancer. He performs ‘organ preservation surgeries’ for Breast Cancer, Sphincter preservation for Rectum Cancer, Mandible preservation for Oral Cancer, and Partial Nephrectomy. He also carries out ‘Laser Surgery’ for early-stage cancer of head, neck, and throat. He is credited for developing 'Homemade Laparoscopic endotainer' with Lap instruments which he uses religiously. He takes interest in teaching and academic activities and has served as the Honorary Assistant Professor at J. J. Group of Hospitals, Greater Mumbai. He is the recipient of Gold Medal from the European Board of Surgical Oncology in 2015. He has participated in numerous conferences and presented ‘posters’ and ‘papers’ in them. He is a member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), International Collegiums of Surgeons (ICS) and Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburg). He also is involved in research and has several publications to his credit in reputed National and International journals.
