About Dr. Vijay Haribhakti

Dr. Vijay Haribhakti, or Dr. Vijay V. Haribhakti, is a surgical oncologist with 31+ years of experience. He has performed more than 7000 major breast, head and neck cancer surgeries. His areas of expertise include Head and Neck Cancer, Reconstructive surgery and Breast Cancer with a high success rate. He did MBBS from Seth G. S. Medical College, Mumbai, MS in general surgery from Seth GS Medical College, Mumbai, fellowship from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York and from Center for Microsurgery, Belgium. He is a member of Indian Association of Surgical Oncology. He completed training in laser surgery under Prof. Wolfgang Steiner in Germany and Head and Neck Oncology at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, London. He designed an instrument system for endoscopic assessment of the larynx. Dr. Haribhakti has also devised three innovative surgical approaches, which were presented at the largest International Head and Neck Congress ever, held in New York. In addition to papers articles, he has authored Head and Neck chapters of a major Oncology textbook published.
