Dr. Jagannath Dixit is a renowned Surgical Oncologist in India with over 32 years of experience. He has completed more than 500 robotic surgeries and 150 laparoscopic surgeries of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. Besides being a top doctor for breast cancer surgery in Bangalore, he also specialises in surgeries for gastrointestinal cancer, ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer, etc. He completed his MBBS in 1992 from KIMS, Bengaluru, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Bengaluru Medical College in 1995. Later, he did an MCh in Surgical Oncology from the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, in 2000 and a PB Desai fellowship at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai in 2001. Dr. Dixit holds several fellowships, including a Fellowship from the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (FIAGES), a Fellowship from the International College of Surgeons (FICS), and a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS). Dr. Dixit received international training in robotic surgery at the Samsung Medical Centre and Asan Medical Center in South Korea and National University Hospital in Busan, apart from training in China and Japan. His extensive qualifications and global exposure make him a leading surgical oncologist in Bangalore. Apart from this, he has also been trained in Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) at the National Cancer Institute in Milan. He is a member of the Clinical Robotic Society Association, the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, the International College of Surgeons, and many other prestigious organisations.
