About Tanweer Shahid

Dr. Tanweer Shahid is a senior and leading Radiation Oncologist with +17 years of experience in the field of radiation oncology. He holds professional memberships of the National Academy of Medical Sciences and the Medical Council of India. Dr. Shahid completed his MBBS in 2001 from Magadh University and then did his DNB in 2007. He also has a Professional Diploma in Clinical Research. He is an expert radiation oncologist for offering treatments such as, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and solid cancers of the head & neck/thoracic region/neurological/paediatric and breast, brachytherapy, proton therapy and stereotactic surgery. Also included in his scope of work are, image-guided radio therapy, intensity-modulated radio therapy, genitourinary malignancies and cranial cyber-knife radiosurgery. He has keen interest in public health and cancer research besides radiation oncology. Dr. Shahid has been felicitated by the International Society of Paediatric Oncology and received a travel grant to attend and present a poster in SIOP in Berlin (Germany). He has co-authored many research papers in international journals and continuously strives to use his knowledge and experience to give better treatments.
