About Dr. Geetha Nagasree

Dr. Geetha Nagasree is the first female Surgical Oncologist in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh with an experience of over 20 years. She is highly experienced in breast cancer treatment such as minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgeries, breast cancer surgery (lumpectomy & mastectomy), and breast conservation surgeries. She is also extensively trained in surgeries for advanced and recurrent ovarian cancers including cytoreductive surgery and extensive peritonectomy and HIPEC. “Rising Star of the Year 2017 in Oncology” was awarded to Dr. Nagasree. She is an Executive Member of the National Executive Body of the Association of Gynecological Oncologists of India (AGOI). She is the beneficiary of several international fellowships and awards including the Shingo Fuji Young Scientist Award, International Gynecological Cancer Society (IGCS) travelling fellowship, and the IGCS travel grant award. Dr. Nagasree had played the role of the coach in IARC, Lyon, France, and MNJIO & RCC, Hyderabad. She completed her MBBS from Guntur Medical College, Guntur, and MD (OBG) from JIPMER, Pondicherry. She has done MCh (Surgical Oncology) from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru. She filled in as Assistant Professor at MNJ Institute of oncology and regional cancer centre; worked as a consultant at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Hyderabad. She was a faculty at Major National Conferences AGOICON, Hyderabad in 2017, Ujjain-2011, Bhubaneshwar-2011, Bengaluru-2010) and CME Workshops.
