About Dr. Satish Pawar

Dr. Satish Pawar is a senior surgical oncologist and laparoscopic surgeon with an overall experience of 15 years. He is skilled in laparoscopic GI oncology, Gyne oncology and minimally invasive cancer surgeries like rectal cancer, thoraco-laparoscopic esophagectomy and lung cancer. He is also well trained in nerve sparing radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer and HIPEC for carcinoma ovary. Dr. Pawar was awarded the SSO Best poster presentation in 2018 and best paper in Indian cancer congress, Bangalore, 2017. He also achieved the 2nd Prize for video presentation for Laparoscopic TaTME in 2017. Second best video Presentation at NATCON, 2015 held at Bhuvaneshwar was also given to him. He is an esteemed member of associations like Society of Surgical Oncologists (International), Association of Colorectal Surgeons of India (ACRSI), Association of Surgical Oncologists of India (IASO), Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Association of Breast Surgeons of India (ABSI). He was appointed as faculty in Carcinoma Esophagus Panel in Apollo Cancer Conclave, Hyderabad (2020). He also held the post of consultant surgical oncologist & DNB Clinical Co-ordinator from 2012 to 2018 at Basavatarakam Indoamerican Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Hyderabad. Dr. Satish Pawar completed his MBBS from MGM Medical College, Aurangabad, Maharashtra in 2003, MS (General Surgery) from JJMMC Davangere RGUHS Bangalore, 2006 and DNB (Surgical Oncology) from National Board of Examination, 2011.
